Fuorocort OXY

Fuorocort OXY is a prescription nasal spray. It is formulated to provide effective relief from nasal allergy symptoms. It is associated with inflammation and congestion. It combines a corticosteroid with a fast acting nasal decongestant. This delivers both short term and sustained symptom control.

How It Works

Oxymetazoline hydrochloride is a topical nasal decongestant. It acts on alpha adrenergic receptors in the nasal blood vessels. This causes vasoconstriction. The blood flow to the nasal lining is rapidly reduced this way. This gives you a quick relief from congestion. Together, they provide both immediate and longer lasting relief.

How to Use

Follow your healthcare provider’s advice on using Fuorocort-OXY. 

• Before use, gently shake the bottle and if needed, prime the spray. 
• You need to blow your nose to clear the nostrils. 
• Then, simply insert the nozzle into one nostril while closing the other. Now, you need to spray while breathing in gently. 
• You can then repeat the same with the other nostril if it is advised.
• Make sure you don’t spray into the eyes or mouth. 
• Do not use more than recommended.

Precautions

Use only under medical supervision, particularly if you have:

• High blood pressure
• Heart disease
• Diabetes
• Thyroid disorders
• Glaucoma
• Prostate problems

You may get rebound nasal congestion with prolonged use.

Avoid use if you have untreated nasal infections. Also, it should be avoided in a recent nasal surgery.
