Sertraline Tablet I.P. 50 mg is a prescribed medicine that is most commonly used to treat depression, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Sertraline falls into a class of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which work by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain (a chemical that helps improve one’s mood, emotions, and sleep).
Take Sertraline Tablet I.P. 50 mg as your healthcare provider prescribes. It is usually taken once per day, either in the morning or evening, and can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water—do not crush or chew. To achieve the best results, take your medication at the same time each day.
In rare cases, it can cause serious side effects such as thoughts of suicide, serotonin syndrom,e or allergic reactions. You should talk to your doctor straight away if you feel any unusual mood changes or other serious changes.
Store in a cool dry place below 25°C and away from strong sunlight or moisture. Always keep in its original packaging and away from children and pets. Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.
