Zioglim M3 – Zioglim M 3mg/500mg Tablet is a medicine that comes under a class of medicines called anti-diabetic drugs used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. This medicine is specifically for those patients whose blood sugar levels are not controlled by diet and exercise alone. Type 2 diabetes is a long-lasting issue that impacts the way our body processes glucose. People with type 2 diabetes either do not generate enough insulin, or the insulin generated is not able to process its function in the body (insulin resistance).

Zioglim M3 Tablet is a made up of two anti-diabetic drugs, namely: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride works by reviving beta cells in the pancreas that generate insulin. Thus, insulin assists in removing sugar from the blood. Metformin works by minimizing the sugar generation by cells in the liver and slows sugar absorption from the intestines. Also, it escalates the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin, which allows these cells to exrtact sugar more effectively from the blood.

How to Take Zioglim M3 Tablet?

• Consume Zioglim M3 Tablet as directed by your doctor.
• You have the instructions to take Zioglim M3 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you according to your medical condition.
• In some situations, you may have to go through stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, headache or metallic taste.
• Most of these side effects of Zioglim M3 Tablet does not need a doctor’s attention and gradually resolves over time. But, in case the side effects grow or worsen, please reach out to your doctor.
• Please tell your doctor beforehand in case you are allergic to Zioglim M3 Tablet or any other medicines.

• It is not safe to drink alcohol with Zioglim M 3mg/500mg Tablet.

• Zioglim M 3mg/500mg Tablet is not safe to use while breastfeeding as it may pass the toxicity to the baby through milk.
• You might not be able to drive if your blood sugar is too low or too high. It is advised not to drive if these symptoms occur.
