Naproxen and Domperidone Tablets are a potent combination drug designed to relieve pain, decrease inflammation, and antagonize gastric upset that is frequently experienced by individuals taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This combination drug can be commonly utilized for the management of conditions associated with musculoskeletal pain, migraines, arthritis, and dysmenorrhea while minimizing gastric side effects.

How It Works:

Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and acts as such by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes which produce prostaglandins—compounds that directly correlate with pain, inflammation, and fever. Inhibiting the production of prostaglandins means that the pain, swelling, and stiffness associated with various injuries and conditions of the joints and muscles can be effectively managed.

Domperidone is an antiemetic and prokinetic agent that increases gastrointestinal motility as well as decreases nausea and vomiting. Domperidone acts by blocking dopamine receptors in the gastrointestinal tract Causing food to move more freely though the stomach and intestine preventing the nausea caused by NSAIDs like Naproxen.

This combination provides effective pain relief and avoids some of the gastrointestinal side effects commonly seen with NSAID-only strategies.
