Telmosis-AM 80 is a combination antihypertensive medication. It contains Telmisartan which is an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Amlodipine is also present which is a calcium channel blocker. The tablet is prescribed to manage high blood pressure called hypertension in adults. This is especially the case when a single medicine is not enough to control blood pressure levels. There’s less risk of serious cardiovascular complications with lower blood pressure. So heart attack, stroke and kidney damage can be prevented.
Composition: Telmisartan 80mg + Amlodipine 5mg Tablet
Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II. That is a substance which narrows blood vessels. This allows vessels to relax and lower blood pressure. Amlodipine works by inhibiting calcium entry into heart and blood vessel cells. This leads to more relaxation of blood vessels and improved blood flow. Together, they both offer a stronger and more sustained bloog pressure lowering effect.
Most of the side effects are mild as well as temporary. So you need to consult a doctor if they persist or worsen.
